Cogito Minds MUN Conference 2014

A groundbreaking success!

The debut Cogito Minds MUN Conference was held on 13th and 14th December, 2014 in Pune. The Cogito team is delighted to announce that the conference was a ginormous success! Organising the conference was not only a wonderful learning experience, but also a very enriching way to propagate team spirit, integrity, leadership skills: everything that Cogito stands for. Every detail was carefully thought through and carried out by the team. From pitching the conference to sponsors to deciding which committee we would simulate; the conference gave us memories and lessons to cherish. The agenda we had decided to discuss was LGBT rights, since the UN has taken no decisive action as yet. It is a newer topic, making history similar to women’s rights, anti-slavery, etc. We offer our gratitude to our sponsors, without whom this conference would never have been possible. E-Zest, Fruition Hotels, ZenSys, Textcraft – a big thank you from the Cogito Team!
Mrs. Meera Shankar, an experienced diplomat who has held many prestigious positions, including those involving foreign policy and international security issues, graced our MUN Conference with her honourable presence as the Chief Guest.
The Organising Committee comprised Rijul Verma, Arianna Gulati and Akhil Narang. The Executive Board members were –
Manan Shah – Secretary-General
Rijul Verma – Director-General
Arnav Dasgupta – Chair
Sejal Shah – Chair
Pratyussh Pol – Chair
Anmol Narang – Head, International Press

The Conference turned out to be a spectacular event. The enthusiasm of the delegates was nearly unparalled. The conference went off without a glitch and everyone seemed to have a memorable time. We hope to see equalled fervour when we return this year, bigger and better.
